Hello friend.
My name is Jason Ricci, and I'd like to be your Sleep Hygienist. I'm all about helping people get the best sleep they can. After all, when you aren't sleeping right, you aren't at your best for everything you do in your waking daytime hours.
My job is to fix your sleep.
Since 2006, I have worked in both community mental health and private practice agency settings. I have taken a specialized interest in sleep hygiene. I have studied this topic in great detail and have worked with hundreds of clients, teaching them how proper sleep can greatly effect one's mental health, mood, immune system, etc.
I have written a great number of articles on sleep, both on this website, and for others. I have written a book on insomnia and created a sleep course. I have also done some guest speaking on the topic of sleep at various organizations and events.
I know sleep.
And I want you to be able to teach you to sleep better. Further down this page, I will help you see where you need to start your better sleeping journey.
Who Benefits From This Website?
Those who are having trouble sleeping benefit from this website. Do you have poor sleep habits, but are willing to make changes to improve your sleep? Do you have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, or both? Are your sleep issues due mostly to your own poor sleep habits, and not from a sleeping disorder (such as sleep apnea, or other diagnosable disorders)? Then this site is for you! I encourage you to explore any and every part of it to help you fix your sleep.
What Do Those Words Mean?
From time to time you'll run across sleep related terms. Oftentimes it self-explanitory, but here is a quick list of the most commonly used terms on this site, and what they mean.

I'm unsure about any of this. I don't really have a great understanding of why I don't sleep or how to fix it. I'm not looking to spend any money on this, because I don't even know what I need.
For you, I recommend a few things. First and foremost, we need to provide some general education about what affects your sleep. There are the blog articles, and the trove of free resources. I encourage you to explore this website. But the very first thing I would recommend is to sign up for my email list. I will send you sleep related material that will help you understand the basics of sleep. There is also information that I share with those on the email list that doesn't make it to the website (there are also special discounts and private invitations from time to time, but that's not why I'm inviting you to sign up).
You can sign up for it here.
I'm looking to fix my sleep, but I'm just starting out. I know there are a few things I can do better to fix my sleep. I'm still not ready to sink any money into doing this though.
For you, I recommend my The Sleep Better in 7 Days Promise. This is a 7 day mini-course, sent to you via email. It takes you through the main things people can change to fix their sleep. If you follow the advice in this course, I guarentee you will be sleeping better than you are now. That's why the word Promise is in the title. ;-)

I am ready to dive in and fix my sleep once and for all. I don't needs tips or general information. I need someone to walk me step by step on how to fix this. I'm even willing to pay to make this problem go away once and for all.
I'm glad to see your determination. For you, The 30 Days to Better Sleep Challenge is the perfect solution. This is a full 30-day premium email course. In it, I walk you through all the things you need to do for better sleep. I will warn you, there is homework. There is hard work. But at the end, there is reward: the abilty to just sleep when you go to bed. There is a whole lot of other stuff jam-packed into this course, other than just the email lessons.
If this is for you, there is more inforamtion and a place to sign up here.
I'm ready to dive in and fix my sleep once and for all. But I'm a self-starter. I dont' want to spend 30 days on a course. I want all the information at my fingertips immediatly, and am comfortable going at my own pace.
It sounds like you need The 30 Days to Better Sleep Challenge eBook. This eBook provides all the lessons from the full 30-day premium email course. However, instead of working on one lesson a day for 30 days, they are all avaible to you at once in an 80 page ebook. At less than 60 cents a page, this is definitly a great value.
If this is for you, there is more inforamtion and a place to sign up here.
